On Aug 12th we held our  ‘hot texas scramble‘ event and it was a success! With 10 of our Juniors turning up to play on what must have been one of the most beautiful days of the year so far - not too hot, not too cold, juuuuuuust right.

Although this was a non competitive event, our Juniors played their putts off for the best scores possible and posted the following scores:

The Beige Boys and The Blue Hue  :  -4
    The Bulls : -2
    The Birds : -2

    Winners of tourney prizes:
Guess the #Tees in the jar: Connor Verhage $25.00 Golf Town Gift Card

Draw Prize #1: Daniel     (golf hat)
Draw Prize #2: Preston  (golf glove)
Draw Prize #3: Harrison (divot tool)

Big thanks to de Boers, Riverside Golf Club and The Greenhouse Restaurant for supporting our club and to our volunteers Lindsay, Heather and Barb who turned out to help with important tournament day tasks.    We couldn’t do it all without you!

And well done to all our players for your maturity and sense of humor on the course and for keeping up the speed of play so well.

***Hope to see you at our Club Championships at Victoria GC on 25th August AND at our regular Sunday league sessions. See ‘events’ for more details.***

On June 11th 2022, RVJG celebrated GIRLS IN GOLF at Rundle Park Golf Course. Our aim was to create a fun, relaxed golf event with music, movement (and donuts!) whilst creating a space for the girls to build connections with other girls who golf or who would like to try golf.

Everyone had GREAT fun on the putting green playing putting games like ‘humpty dumpty’, ’leapfrog’ and others. It was so exciting to see all the girls on the green with big smiles on their faces.  A big shout out goes to the girls who did all of this AND played a round of golf too! Phew!!

We’d like to extend a huge thanks to all the youth and adult volunteers who came along to support girls in golf today - we couldn’t have done this without you.  See you next time!
